Magda Silvercrest lived an ordinary, happy Dwarven life in the Graypeak Mountains. She was content to just be wife to her husband Magnus and mother to her two young boys; Matthias and Ulric, until the fates decided to make a lasting change in her life.
Magnus was commissioned to battle in the Orc war against the Red Fist Clan. Not uncommon for dwarves Magnus took his wife and children with him. Magda and the boys stayed in the safety of the army camp while the men would battle in the front line. After four months of loosing ground the blood thirsty Orcs conceived a plan to strike a morale blow to the Dwarven warriors. During a skirmish between the Orcs and the Dwarves a detachment of goblins where sent to the Dwarves’ encampment. The dwarven women and injured soldiers where taken by surprise.
Magda awoke to the sounds of screaming, four goblins where already in her tent. With a skillet in hand she broke the nose of two filthy goblins, but another one clubbed her on the back of the head, fracturing her skull. She fell to the floor partially conscious, but unable to move as she was force to watch the murder of her six & eight year old sons. Across the entire camp it was a complete slaughter nearly all of the women, children and injured soldiers where slain. Magda was one of the few survivors, but she was never the same again.
The hit to the head caused severe brain damage leaving Magda as sharp as a hammer. She never spoke about the slaughter of her children. The elders saw the bump on the head as a blessing for her diminished intelligence and decided not to magically heal that damage as it has spared her from her grief. Her husband was not as blessed. Weeks later Magnus recklessly set out to extract revenge upon the Red First Clan. Days after her husband did not return Madga in her innocence went looking for him.
On the second day of merrily following her husbands trail she was ambushed by the same force which later she would discovered murdered her husband. The Orcs played with her at first, inflicting minor but painful wounds. With each slash of their jagged blades memories of that night returned to her, filling her with rage. She stood up grabbing the Orcs’ blade from out of her shoulder and swung with all of her might, believing each on of them where the gobblies, that deserved to be punished. Her sword didn’t rest until every Orc was slain. This ferociousness in battle captured the Greater God Tempus’ notice and he accepted her as a true follower.
Now Madga with out husband and sons serves Tempus and she has rejoined with her “Lil’ Sis” Greta and her two friends wondering Fauren, unknowingly trying to fill a hole left inside her with the loss of her family.
Personality:
Madga is slightly mentally handicap. She believes nearly all humanoid creatures are goblins or as she calls them “Gobblies”. Although wise she is quite dumb and doesn’t understand when she is being made fun of, often laughing with her mockers. She is very happy go luck until some one she cares about is in trouble then like a momma bear she unleashes her fury.
