Kitiana "Kit" is the daughter of a famous lost paladin (similar to
Lancelot). She was adopted and raised by a former Knight named Morin,
said to be a good friend of her true father. Morin would often say to
her, “a truer friend you will not find, your father”. When pressed for
more information, he always gave the standard answer, “still too young
to handle these burdens. One day you will discover it on your own
terms. All you need to know is that your father was a great Knight of
the faith, and you must work hard to prove your worth and carry on his
legacy.”
Morin is a widower with a son of his own, who is older than
Kitiana. His name is Morinar. Unlike his father and adopted sister,
he answered the calling of the faith and chose the path of the clergy.
Kitiana knows that deep in his heart that Morin was disappointed.
Kitiana is on a personal journey to find out who she is inside. Morin
raised her as he would a son, with very strenuous daily training that
only a paladin father could give. She only found his acceptance in her
dedication to training. She's not very smart, but very strong and has
an almost non-compromising sense of justice.
Upon Morin’s deathbed he gave Kit her father’s sword told
her to seek her own path. After Morin’s funeral, Kit left her adopted
family homestead, no longer feeling the ties that bound her. Although
her relationship with her stepbrother is strained because of her
adopted father’s preference for her over his real son, Kit stays in
touch with her brother through letters she writes along her journeys.
She is now on her own, seeing the world for the first time
with opened eyes. She seeks her mysterious heritage, looking for any
clues to who her real father was or what may have become of him. Her
only clue is the medallion her stepfather gave her with an odd family
crest. Alas so far her attempts have been in vein to find out any
information about the strange crest. So she presses further out into
the world seeking the truth and discovering who she is along the
journey.
